have been offered 2 rockford subs, but dont know what watt etc this is all they say rf punch HE2 and they're a couple years old!

The HE2's only come in a duel voice coil. (hence HE2 not just HE )
heres the spec for the 2002 HE2 DVC sub:
Power handling(RMS) - 400 Watts
Power handling(Peak) - 800 Watts
Impedance - 4 Ohms
Sensitivity - 87 db
Vas - 2.58
Fs - 28
Qts - .51
Xmax - .51
The next stage up is the HX2's and these are a lot more powerful
