If i had a triangle, each side measureing 900mm, what is the area of this triangle in M/sqd?

I cant do it, the answer just wont come out right, think my calculator is broke!!!!

dont have a CAD licence on my machine

im havin one of those days where i just cant be rasssed to do anything, probly the weather!!

am i right in saying the area of a triangle is half the hight X the base???

so if the triangles base is 900mm

and its height is 900mm (not each side any more!)

Whats its area in M/sqd??

half base x height = 450mm (0.45m) x 900mm (0.9m) = 0.405m2

thats only if its a right angle triangle, i.e. has a 90 degree angle in it

yeah, draw it has two squares, or rectangles and divide answer by two..

@ditch: yeah, been fishing, brought a beefy carp rod at the weekend and a tent.
Have been getting loadsa carps but nothing special, all about 6-10lbs. waiting for the big'uns to come out.
Am sunburnt now and always stoned

Gonna set up an aquarium too this week and fill it with perch....... not sure why yet

yup, for a non riht angle triangle u'll have to draw a line down the middle, then work out the length of the middle line using pythagoras (A squared x B squared = C squared)

then one u have that then u can half the base and multiply by the height of the new middle line then thats it

i bet ive confused u now like

yeah, if u draw a line thru ur equalatral triangle it will two right angles.
and u could rearrange em has a rectangle, so u don't need to divide by two

I once filled a puddle at the bottom of my garden with perch. The puddle dried up. My perch died. Why o Why did those perch have to Die

I snapped my Fox bivvy on Saturday, aint had it out all winter and the poles had rotted, fcukin thing cost me about £300!!

Im tryin to cut down now, only had about 2 joints since sunday this is a world record for me!!

pythagoras therom only works on right angled triangles to find the hypotemeus (longest side) or can use the old SOH-CAH-TOA

yeh and when u draw a middle line through the tringle u have 2 right angled triangles, so u use pythagoras on one of the halves to find out the length of the middle line.

my tent was £12 from some asian on northweald market the quality of it.
Was covered in something i can only describe as cum-stains, when i opened it tho
Had to peel it apart cos it was so sticky.....
