Yes im thinking of a W7 run off a JL 1000/1 Amp, but althogether a cost of £1700!!! lol

W7 couldnt shift enough air to hit levels like that in a fairly standard car. And considering Tomas has about a squillion quids worth of deadening in his car (probably) he'd of hit 147's i reckon?

I have heard 2 W7 13" in a Mk4 Golf, with DLS amps, sounded crazy bass. Although it was really setup for street bass, NOT conpetition.
Really nice subs and amps them

mate who works for just ice has just got rid of his brand spanking new 12w7 and 1000/1 for phoenix gold stuff instead, this is too go in a clio cup.

For the money you could get some thing liek:
two RE XXX 15" subs (£380 each)
and a big ol amp to run them. maybe something like the JL 1000/1 or something a little bit more potent. Like Harrison Labs

my m8s got a w6 and a 500.1
and that seems louder than my m8s 143db system
and thats in a seat ibiza too.
go for it m8 - them subs are dogs danglies

You'll piss your pants when you hear what I hit at this sound-off I went to... 132.8 dB!!! My mate in his Vectra won with a 13W7 and TWO 10W3's - he hit 133.4dB!
I have NO idea why these figures are soo low, they used the same track of a CD on EVERY car, a sine sweep. We both actually beat this guy with a 1000/1 and W7 sealed in the spare wheel well of his BMW estate... not by much but we beat him!
Dont get me wrong W7's are awesome and for 'street bass' they are AMAZING. My system has a BAD roll-off on the bottom end, which is where the W7 really starts throwing its weight about! LOL I only have a little sound deadening in my car, just tended to pull EVERYTHING out the boot that wasnt needed and caused rattles.
By the way guys I am NOT into SPL, im into SQ but I find it funny as f00k when I roll up and beat 20 or so other cars on an Audiocontrol SPL mic and finish second, just a smidge behind my mate who won who insidentally is PURE SQ!! Look out for a mini-feature in upcomming Total Car Audio magazine.

i think my SPL reading was out actually. The meter read 143.3 but i think thats way too high for a single 15" W3. Oh well, its always nice to tell people thats what i hit

Not sure of his amps... i Know they are all the JL ones though, I think he's running perhaps two 250.1's and maybe a 500.1. Im not sure though...
