I've got the light switch, level adjuster and fog light switch, all have blue painted bulbs and light up a pale blue. I'll supply them with leds in your choice of colour for you to fit yourself, so you can turn this....

Paint won't take them a dark enough blue and still illuminate bright enough, its far better to use leds, last a lot longer too. Its a pig of a job putting the lightswitch back together though.

led's, the previous owner did it, full led conversion, spedo/clocks etc, mfd, centre console, and a blue painted interior light bulb. Looks mint, every 1 comments on how gd it looks!!

how many leds would i need 2 replace the interior light? as the blue painted bulb looks more white than blue, and its not bright enough, also do ure led's come with built in resistors cobra? Cheers

Doh!!
I went to take a pic of them in the dark last night and realised I've got the wrong ones here. The ones I have are not blue but have regular bulbs in. However, I'll do the 3 switches plus led/resistor combination for you to fit yourself for £10 inclusive of post.

Modded, you can use as many as you want, depending if you want it reasonably bright, or blinding.
Leds come fitted with resistors or fitted in holders to plug and play.

The lightswitches are a pain to take apart and put back together.
The courtesy lights are not a problem, I'm gonna put some in mine now, I'll take a few pics when its dark and post them later.

I've just fitted leds to the courtesy lights. There is only one led in each side and its still light outside, but it still seems bright.

Darryl, I've sent an email to your freeserve address.

Yes, the green is a Vectra (not mine). Mine is the blue Corsa one.

Hello Dave, they are very cheap
Do you have the same type lights as mine in the blue pic above?
If yours are not the same, do you have the capless push in bulb or the longer ones, held in a clip at each end?

Yes, it shouldn't be a problem. The ones above plug straight in, the type you have is just a touch more difficult but shouldn't cause any probs.

when i did it (moddedcorsa's car i just took out the bulbs and soldered a resister to an led and then solder the led onto the original points. theres no much difference between the size of bulb/led.

I wish i had dont the courtesy light aswell as that looks minted. still got a few leds kicking about 2 im sure.

Your right, you don't need to solder the courtesy light though, a 5mm led and resistor, with the legs folded back, fits straight into the bulb holder. It fits just as easy as the original bulb so i didn't need to get the iron out

Im very interested in buying some leds to fit my corsa courtesy light. At the moment it has the long bulb with the clips at either end.
How many will i need?
How much will they be?
Are they easy to fit?
Do i have to do any soldering?
Cheers Ness.

I'm in the process of sorting some for the long type bulb now.
The push fit type like mine above, take 1 led per side, they are a straight forward push fit, and cost a grand total of £1.25 each.
