Its been just over a week since Off Day opened (and there's 10 pages of posts ), General Chat is a lot cleaner and due to me being a little stricter, two high profile posters are on short term bans, and another number of people have been warned under new rules.
My question - how happy are you with the way things are going. Having just seen the unrest on MIG after they took the decision to close 'Chit-Chat' (their Off Day equiv), I'm very keen to gauge opinion here.
Please be constructive

I have found it very quiet on the site. I'm still unsure if this is a good thing or not

Improved IMO
If people want to post garbage it can be done in Off Day, keeping General Chat (largely) free from crap, and hopefully with some decent threads.

Regarding quietness, yes, just checked the statistics and your feelings are correct, we were down on traffic this week over last.
This may be a good thing though? Busyness isn't really an indicator of quality is it?

General chat has slowed down alot - just shows you how much shite people post
I think off day is a good idea tho

i feel it seems quiet due to the fact there is alot less spam here in the gc
also alot of the time the spam was produced by the two who has been banned.

i know this is extreme but
with the to55er's gone or not, there is always someone else waiting in the wings to come out.
I could point you to a few threads where this is apparent

Si - interesting issue to which I do feel we have a solution. If it is that banning people and being stricter makes the rest of the people happy then yeah, game on lets have some more?
Edited to say this isn't a 'who should I ban today thread', thats a bit severe for me to handle in one week heh.

This is much better in my opinion.
If u want to read rubbish go to off day, if not go general chat.
The only constructive thing i can think of for the site as a whole is that the
Premium Member Offers
section cud do with an update, to include the new companies (Styling FX.....) and to include their latest offers. At the mo there is no point having it as it doesent tell u a lot and never gets updated!

Definatly. It has improved but every topic seems to wander to a personal "chat" also unnesscessary flirting. its just not needed.

Si - I hardly think that warrants a ban though. Perhaps you could have a quiet word directly as you're not giving a lot away?
Sooty - explain?

i think so far so good and given time, people will automatically just post crap in off day rather than the mods having to move it. I think more people will start to post now due to there being less chance that people will hijack their thread and fill it with crap which was probably my biggest problem with GC.

Si - the law uses three E's - example, education, enforcement. Ban falls under the last

If it makes things easier for you Ian then keep it, all forums split sections up as much as possible so everything isnt coming through the one.
Keep up the good work
