few things i need to know..
Gear box, ive driven 1 2.0 corsa and was hard to change gear. im told this is normal?
speedo, didnt work and wont work unless u use a digi dash?
also, could peeps tell me what insurance compnies they have used...

gear box, all the one i have drive and my own are stiff and need to ruff with it (not to ott, just not no hair dresses car), and when stoping at light, i have to put it into 2nd then to 1st otherwise 1st is hard to get, unless the car is on a stand still
ALSO
u have a stiff change when getting into 3rd when ragging it or Rev in genral
mines rev
vauxgirls is 3rd
CM is 3rd

adam not bein able to put ure selector into first gear unless at a standstill is actually common with most boxes. stops u from accidently selecting first and smashing the lot......

dunno if you could do anything similar but with mk2 golfs you can added a weighted shift rod (has a lump of lead on it) and this help increase inertia making gear selection alot smoother
might be something to look into.....

icemans dash is a gsi one?? why wont it work? maybe a reconed gbox is in order?

nothing to with the gearbox it because the gearbox of the C20XE are Mechanical transponders and the alot of corsas can only read electrical transponders
(the small plug that sits on the top of the box with the wire coming out  )

i have the stiff gear problems, hence missing 3rd at PV show, still getting 15.1. the more you rag it around in a nite the more you struggle.

yes u can do it without digi dash but like been said a thousand times u struggle to get the speado workin!! beardys is not digi, i beleive drews old one is.
no i do not work in a garage but seein as my dad was a uk rally driver back in the day u could just put it down to bein in my blood  and im not really that clever anyway but ta for the compliment

well i know of a few with no speedo, and drew had Digi if i remeber...
it can work but u need a corsa mechanical clocks.....
