Ive looked at buying a car, was a 1ltr, changed to a 1.4 16v. Can be re-registered by DVLA easily.
Insurance company classes that as a modification even though it is re-registered and approved. They wont insure it as a standard 1.4??
Directline for ya. Anyone any advice on this??

Well wont insure it at all as its classed as an engine mod. What I thought was funny is that it is registered as a 1.4 corsa club with DVLA, (well would be) but they wont insure it as that?

The other thing, if the registration doc says 1.4 club for example, and you bought it as that how would you know any different when you insured it? You wouldnt know it had bee altered.
