If you bought a mobile phone in December 2002 (upgrade), and it is now faulty, can you get it repaired free of charge under the manufacturer's (Nokia) warranty or not?

Yes, also Nokia don't know when you bought it, if you are a member of club nokia they will fix it, If it was over a year old you'd just tell them it was 9 months old they wouldn't know.

Kenny, that doesnt tell you hold old the phone is exactly. That tells you the date the software was installed. You might not have had the phone till 6-12 months later, and the warranty is from when you bought the phone.
My phone says december 2002, but it wasnt even on the market till aprill 2003

ring club nokia, then take it somewhere like MPRC mobile phone repair company. They'll fix it for free without a doubt.
