I'd say it would be very very close.

If the corsa was on 15"s, and had minimal interior like the clio, i'd say the corsa would just just beat it.

If the corsa had full normal interior, and 17"s like yours, then it would loose.

Stats for the clio cup aint that great. Stripped loads of stuff and only managed to loose minimal time.

The cup would spank a 2.0 16v Corsa. 0-100 in the normal 172 is 17.9 and 0-60 is 6.6 I think. 0-100 in the cup must be low 17s which imo would be a fair amount quicker than the Corsa.

6.6, not quite that fast The older V6 only done it in 6.4. I think the cup hits 60 in about 6.8-7.2 seconds. Well within reach of a corsa on 15"s minus all comforts that the cup looses.

It would be very close as i say. Whats the top end for the Clio Cup?

Just on Renaults site now. Clio 172 hits 60mph in 7 seconds.

But thats on the new 16" alloys.

I think my corsa hits 60 (and so far, a lot of others seem to think it) in around 7 seconds on the 16"s, with the car still weighing a tonne in weight.

I stand by mine saying it would be damn close.

Entirly would depend on the two drivers at the time, conditions etc etc.

i reckon it would be close but if u stripped out the 2.0 corsa then ud have a chance of beating it. 7-7.5 secs for a standard redtop is about right.

Andy Bracey Corsa on 15" Volcanos (et 35 like i used to done a timed 6.5 0-60, with all the interior in etc. That was using an airbox, Exhaust and Irmscher twin square rear box

ive got chip, s/s zorst, custom air filter running on 15"s but i dont reckon mine would do 60 in 6.5

Maybe it does though, u ever had an official time?

Mines good enuff to leave 2.0litre 16v Astras (and 2.0litre corsas on 15s (but with F16 box)) from a standing start. Think they do it in under 7.5. And im sure yours is faster than mine.

Mines about the same minus the chip and I also have a de-catted zorst, have no idea what my 0-60, 1/4 mile times are though.

never been a fan of the clio since i beat one in my pug 106

i reckon it would be close , the clio's aint quick
