Got these made up and put em on my car, but My dad doesnt think their legal Looked on the DVLA site which has loads of information about registration plates, and it says nothing about the size of the actuall plate, only the spacings and sizes of characters. Anyone know if there is a specific size they need to be?

there has to be something like 7 mm space at the start and end of the plate, also above and below the letters, mine are cut down and i have had no problems though

illegal. Cut down plates dont have enough reflective surface between the edges and the letters.
but aslong as theyre not stupidly spaced or have stupid fonts, you shud be ok

All it says is that there must be a 11mm (minimum) spacing between the edge of the letters and the edge of the plate. I've got ones with about a 20mm space to be sure anyway
