Training at home is ok, but you're limited as to what you can do.

Agree with craig. the most important thing to me in the gym is the power rack. Without that no benching, squatting, or Power Cleaning

That's why you're probably still on 10kg each side. A chest workout should be broke up into 3-4 different exercises, each consisting of 3-4 sets.

when i lift weights i use a selection of bar bells and grips which work different muscles and help give more 'shape'! i know that basically you weight lift to improve your strength/size of muscles, and there is know control over the shape of them!!!

10 sets for one exercise is far too much. You'll gain much better with say:
Flat bench press: 3-4 sets of 8-10 reps
Incline dumbell press: 2-4 sets of 8-10 reps
Flat dumbell flyes: 3-4 sets of 8-10 reps.
With that the whole workout will still consist of 9-12 sets consisting of 100'ish reps (lifts), but it'll be broke up.
