Right, i dont get the coppers.
Got done the other night by the local constabulary.
Charge was, "changing my exhaust from standard to create excessive noise"
WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT.
I have a magnex full system, my fooking induction kit makes more noise.
Its only a 1.4 16v. What an argument i had wi the copper over it. A standard subaru is louder than my car. What about caterham 7's There exhausts are loud as fuck, most are a 1.8 ford engines and are road legal, yet nothing is said.
Iwas only going about 10mph round a corner yet the managed to say my exhaust was far too loud.
I asked them to get out there decibal meter to check how loud it is only to find there aint a noise limit. They done me because i modified my exhaust after the date of manufacture.
So magnex, scorpion, piper and the likes may as well close there doors. As its illegal to put an exhaust on ur car.

Why didnt you just tell them to stick it up their ringer? They cant touch you for it. Just accept whatever they say and drive off. They cannot charge you with anything.

FOOKIN KNOB HEADS......What time was it because if it was before 11.30pm they cant do a god damn thing about noise levels. Different scenario but my mate had his subs on loud in a car park an a copper came over an told him to turn it off an leave, my mate said no i can have it as loud as i want becasue its not 11.30 yet an he walked off an the copper cudnt and didnt do anythin..... SO UP URS PIGS

went straight to court. il find out in a couple of months.
Its pretty poor. I looked it up and under regulation 54 ur not allowed to change ur exhaust after the date of manufacture to create excessive noise.

have you still got all the silencers in the system?
if you have then you can prove the exhaust was changed for a better quality system, and not for excessive noise.
u can get magnex to stat this for you.
if you've removed silencers then you are donald ducked

nope. not removed anything. Even got the standard cat back on cos it just went thru its mot and couldnt be assed taking it off.
I phoned nick at magnex as i know him well thru the shop. and he said i was goosed. Nothing i can do because it was changed after manufacture. Its not a noise thing, its a construction and use thing.

So i'm f*cked if I get pulled cuz i've got a straight through centre section? O well. May have to get a small centre silencer put in as it's loud as fuk.

i posted this up a few weeks ago as i got pulled 4 the same thing, i got a defects form off the pigs then i took it 2 a mot place and they stamped it 4 me. FUCK THE POLICE! they r all wankers wiv nowt betta 2 do.

TBH i dont reckon anything is gonna come from it. I was running my old zorst with no cat and no boxes with DTM backbox, was loud as fook. i got stopped, but they didnt do anything about my zaust

They must b crackin down on ppl in "BOY RACER CARS" as they call it... they jus dont understand that moddin ur car is a hobbie, 4 me its part of my life that i enjoy.. the way the pigs see it is every1 in a kitted up car is a nova boy dick head and there tryin 2 stop ppl from kittin up there cars!

they giv u a defects form and u hav 2 get this stamped by a mot garage, most garages will stamp it as they make £15 to stamp it... cops are jus wankers!

When I was 19 I had a rather modified Morris 1000 and got pulled over 2 or 3 times a week and given a HORT1. Now I'm 46 and driving a much more modified Corsa and they don't even give me a second glance. Work it out for yourselves !!!!!
