What does everypne think of these? are they that good? or just a fad/cult car?
What sorta performance do they kick out? what ins. grp are they in?
is there more than one engine option? oh and what is the equipment levels like?! Are they reliable?
Cheers

IS 200 - 2 litre straight 6 - 9.5 to 60. Sounds nice but a GSi will have it
IS 300 - 3 litre - far quicker but they've not been available for as long so they're all still loads of money
Toyota Altezza - same car with a Toyota badge, only available as an import, 4 cylinder turbo (or super?) charged engine, 210 brake.
200s are Group 13 insurance and if you buy from a Lexus dealer you'll have no worries reliability wise. The support is excellent.
Smart money buys an SE - looks the same as a Sport but without the limited slip diff. It also retails for 1100 quid less new.

Dads mate went to Lexus. They said take the car for a test drive long as you want. After a weekend he thought he'd go back, they asked what the matter was and he said nothing - why not keep the car a little longer etc. Basically he was so amazed with their unpressured sales staff he bought the car Nice cars, little slow for me but can't deny the quality

I love em! Really nice car to drive, my Dads was an IS200 SE Auto so didn't even have to change gear and the auto box is well smooth on the IS200!
