I tried Maguiars for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it knocks the socks off Autoglym. Its hard work but the result is blinding.
First I used the shampoo, the the paint renovator (something like that anyways) the the polish, then the wax. MINT
Best thing to do is follow the instructions. Its not the 'normal' wash or polish, but it certainly works.
I used to use the lint free cloth method as recomended by autoglym, but the cotton cloth gives a lot better shine.
All that is, is an old shirt & tie type shirt. I bought a bag full of it from A.S.K Kippax.
ALWAYS wash th car when its cool and polish and wax out of the sun (my garage certainly comes in handy for that) those without a garage, get up early or do it last thing.

I use the Meguires stuff too. Got a load free from Maxlive. Cant belive how good it is I thought my car was clean when i went up to NEC, saw laods of people waxing their cars. They were getting great finishes. i thought mine looked really dull then went over to the Meguires peeps and did my car. WOW, i dont think im ever gonna use anything else.
