I am getting my Corsa C colour-coded at the beginning of September, and I was wondering if anyone who has had this done has had any problems.
My mate told me not to bother as the paint will just wash off the side skirts at both ends. Is this true?
I'm a bit worried now, so if anyone has had any trouble please let me know.
I got a good deal £160.(my dads mates garage).

A mate of mine is a pro body/spray dude. he 's doin all plastics on my #B for £250, pricey, but he's guaranteed it for 2 years. He says after you put the plastic primer on,you need to leave it for 2-3 days so the 'primer sucks into' the plastic, and also if your colour codin bumpers you need to spray over the join (where plastic meets paint)or it wont seal and will probably come off.
£160 mite be too good a deal.get it done properly or it'll be a pain in the arse to have it redone,
just my opinion

One thing...... Does that include smoothing down the orange peel effect thats already on the plastic bits? If it doesn't it will look shit and you should pay more to get them smoothed before they're sprayed

i agree. after all half the corsa c bumpers is colour coded anyway. hes talking shit, i spray my own stuff and the only time i had paint come off was when i sprayed the pressure washer too close to my boot lock, bumpers have never had paint flake off. nor did my plastic skirts etc..

i want this same job done to my corsa c, i wanted to done by vauxhall, but they said it was impossible to do, as the paint will just flake off, they suggested i just get some new skirts and bumpers, from vauxhall!- but then again vauxhall are shit, and are probably just after more money off me!

He would have charged £250, but because its my dads mate he gave me a discount.

My car is Black by the way.

That price is for the bumpers, side skirts, arches and boot lock.
They sprayed a spoiler for my old punto last year and it looked mint.
I think I will go ahead and get the work done, thanks for the comments.

had all mine done a year ago from a quality garage. I had the same worries as you but the trick is to use good quality primer and the more coats you do the better as the paint eill take straight to it. mine has no probs at all and I pelt it with a jet wash every weekend
