I want to colour code the plastic part surrounding the heater controls. But how do you get this free? It's starting to piss me off now

Looked in tutorial but cant find anything saying how! Cheers!

i think the middle heater knob, the rear window one, is holding it on but how do i get this knob off?

With difficulty lol, that knob is a bitch. I think a start would be to remove the MFD, not sure if this is necessary tho. Oh fuck it i'll go look at Haynes.

Ok push the centre vents down as far as they will go (u will have to use a fair bit of force, well i did anyway) this will reveal a screw behind each one, remove these but dont drop them inside! Pull of the recirculation knob and panel and undo a couple of screws behind it. Then apparently the panel pulls out a bit. Basically the rest is unplugging cables from the back. Hope that helps...

right ok ill unplug a few cables n make sure i remember where they go. But i think i should really invest in a haynes manual!!!

all u gotta do to get that centre knob off is to stick a small flat bladed screw driver in the slot in the bottom of the knob. In there, there is a clip wich u can pull forward with the screw driver and then the knob will then come off easily! but be careful not to break it by pulling too hard or whatever cause your heated rear window wont work aain unless u change the switch if u do!
