I take no chances and take it to a garage or vauxhall just pay em a £10 or something

Do it yourself mate, put a pillow around your chest and undo the particular bolts (air bag if need be) and pull hard !!

Yes but with the main nut in the centre, slacken it but leave it on else u will go flying or get a wheel in your face. Like the pillow idea!

Yeah we made some contraption that was two bolts and a broken clampthe bolts went into the two holes in the steering seat and the centre of it went onto hte actual shaft was still a bastard to get off though as advised pay vauxhall to do it
