Anyone know of the impounding laws that traffic police are enforcing?
My mate got pulled 3-4 days ago, they done him for window tints, de-cat, lowered suspension, all sorts. They impounded his car and wanted 1000 quid to get it released. or 9 points. ???
What the FU*K are they on??
anyone clued up on this?? the bastids

They wouldnt have been able to detect a de cat on the side of hte road. If you say that you want to take it to an independant MOT garage to have it all checked over i think you are within rights.

yes they can check exhausts at the road side
if they feel the car is unroadworthy then they are doing their job

yes very true , i now never ever recieve any hassle from the cops
when i had my modded corsa they did me for
1. exhaust system
2. suspension / car being to low
3. number plate
4. number plate light
5. rear clusters
6. 17" alloys
wot a waste of time , im sick of modding cars to get pulled and since i had the audi, the cossie etc, no cunts botherd with me at all

Scott, I agree I cannot be bothered with modifications.
I plan on letting my girlfriend drive my car anyway. I don't use it during the week I use my bike.

I used to get pulled in corsa all the time for stuff like that, but driving my MR2 and Dads Alfa 156 I havnt been pulled once - both are just as modified as corsa was.

Nope, my car does not need a cat. Goes on the engine, not the car.
