yes they are road legal so long as fitted correctly
some cars have them as std (rare supercars etc)

I was giving my car a hammerin up some dual carriageways after an arguement with the missus last night. Hit about 95ish then let off for the roundabout ahead, looked in my rear view at this time and who are sittin up my arse? Traffic cops 
They were really safe about it tho, they just followed me for a bit and then tugged me. I already knew it was comin! So i pulled in, off with my belt, got out and the copper asked me why i thought he had pulled me over, so i was honest with the bloke and he let me off with a producer!!

ditch i tried to be nice but the cunt kept calling me a wanker. i admitted i was going to fast said sorry was reallypolite what can i say the guy was a dick. wasnt as though it was in broad daylight fukin 3 in the morning on a back road. i was hitting bout 90 ish then clocked em and pulled over before he even had the lights on

i love harnesses - they pull you into the seat really hardcore (if you do them up tight enuff) and it means you can feel what your cars doing alot better, you can really judge high speed corners and heavy breaking alot better, plus they are safer.
also as long as they are e marked i think they are legal even if you have made an arse of fitting them, because ultimately you can fit a standard belt incorrectly - it just means that you wont get throuhg the MOT - a police man cant randomly say those are illegal coz they are only for racing cars as this simply aint true

Is it just me or would harnesses not be slightly more dangerous in a car with no roll cage if the car went over? I have been thinking this through for a while and you always here of ppl ducking over to aviod something that is coming throught the roof at them but u wouldnt stand a chance if u were harnessed in with no roll cage...this is just my thinking, but what do u guys think???

Aye will do.
Have been in loads of cars with harnesses, all have had roll cages though! I think its all in my head to be honest but just cant quite shake the feeling that it aint quite right!
