but make sure it is a xe not a xej also found in mk2 astra's(only 150bhp) cos u might aswell go for the newer c20xe if you can only find a xej

they all look the same you have to read the engine number stamped on the block of the engine running veritcally up the passenger side (if you was looking form the front of the car)close to where the gear box mates

the 20XE came with both Coscast developed heads, and GM manufactured heads. The Coscast head created more torque and about 6bhp more.

the coscast head didn't improve performance in any way,some early calibra's came with a coscast head,it just means there not as likly to go porous unlike the original gm version(this is rare any way)

they where the exact same the 20xej only developed 150bhp with a coscast head so they didn't improve performance if u de cat a c20xe it is the same perfromance as a 20xe so it has nothing to do with the head
