my mates a leccy and he worked out that wen i have my system going full pelt im drawing an extra 25 amps andhe suggested getting a slightly tougher battery. im sure there are people with bigger systems than me with out bigger batteries so is there really any point?
my system consists of CD player HU, 5.25" front, 6x9s rear and 500w sub/300w amp

Im running shit loads of ICE, but i do have a CAP.
The 1st battery was a standard corsa jobbie. (it went into melf down after a dB contest)
Now i have a slightly bigger one and i haven't had any problems...........................YET

Surely if u were drawing an extra 25 amps you would have already blown the fuse.......

well my corsa is a TD so the battery should be slightly meatier than normal anyhow?? i dont often run my system LOUD cos it just distorts to shit i just run it so i get some good bass ie 20/35

The leccy is talkin poo. Your alternator puts out about 50amps and as far as i can remember you didnt get a high power package

in the end i didnt buy new. i baught a pioneer 10" 500w sub and jensen 300w amp from my mate cos he was sellin cheap and he needed the money in hurry. i used the autoleads 720w wiring kit for it if i wanted to expand tho

the reason for ur distortion is the jensen 300 watt amp. With that system mate u aint gonna need an uprated battery

actually 70 amps which is more than enough unless u wanna have stereo on full whilist trying to start the car, lol.
