How hard is it and does it take long to dry?

Overall how long would it take to do 4 brake calipers?

just buy a wire brush & some hammerite

give the caliper a good brush then wipe of the excess dirt/dust

then paint it with hammerite, takes about an hour to dry, give it a couple of coats, should be done in an afternoon

You are bound to have rust on the caliper. Brake cleaner might break down any oil/dust but wont take away the rust, a wire brush attachment ina drill is the quickest way.

just use hammerite, its cheap & also pretty thick consistency, plus its rust protector

could you not undo the nuts? get a bigger bar & socket

if the nuts are off and its rusted to the bolt face then just get the wheel a good boot
