my own fault. Had a heavy right foot & accelerated a little harder than I should have. Didn't wheelspin, or go sideways etc & only hit about 15/ 20 mph but it was bad enough in their eyes for me to be pulled to the checkpoint thing they have set up.
Parked up & took of seat belt & was in the process of threading it back so it didn't fall out the car & hit the side skirt, but she said ' there's no point fiddling with it now I already saw you didn't have it on'. Cheeky mare, without being rude i said 'actually I did have it on....'
She then went through the process of giving me a ticking off about how i was driving dangerously ( @ 15/ 20 mph???) on a stretch of road that is 30 mph
She also breathalised me which I passed
She then said we have a mechanic, who we will get to look over the car & check its legal. Shouted over to him & he said ' Nah its fine its a Skyline' which amused me but didn't amuse her at the time
So after a check of did I own the car, had insurance & a full drivers licence, to which I replied yes to all, she let me go on my way again.
Seen the Police buddied with what i'll call 'do gooding anti cruisers' writing peoples no. plates down who drive past with loud music or accelerate to 20/ 30 mph quickly.
All seems a little silly to me, but hey...... what do I know?

I aint been down to southend for a while now (about 8 months) and it was a fooking nightmare then, the police closed a road off on the sea front and it took me 3/4 of an hour to do 1/2 a mile.
I think more people go to basilden now, but that was bad with the police to.

I can see where they are coming from with regards to safety etc & they generally pulled in the neds with dodgy number plates, fogs on, neons, coloured sidelights etc

They're clamping down to cruisers at Aberdeen beach too Andy, mostly tinted windows/dodgy reg plates/noisy exhausts.
Luckily i have none of the above

I got pulled over on the M20 in Troy once for doing 90mph. They pulled me over to the hard shoulder looked into the car as they pulled over to park in front and then just drove off and left me there

Been pulled twice in D5 for the number plates being illegal but luckily only had warnings

Nope never had to. They've always been really nice to me. Even when I had my AX GT I got pulled for not wearing a seat belt and dangerous driving (which was bullshit) I had tinted windows and it was night time. The lady policemen come up and I undone the window and she was very nice to me. I just use the sweet and innocent look

Ive got no spacing in my number plates! It's D5NNA as opposed to D5 NNA
