hi im new to this corsa forum just wana know is there a way to switch ure head unit on without running ure battery down by haveing the ignition on ?

wire up the red an yellow wires to together on back of head unit so they both got to the perm live, cant remember which colour that is tho! u can just check an test tho

at the mo i have joined the red with yellow and yellow with red. i just want it to play music without haveing to have the ignition on so it runs the battery down

reverse the wires, if theres a terminal in the isco connecter make red go to yellow and yellow to red.

the guy that fitted me stereo free of charge made a muck up and had to turn the ignition on to get the stereo on, it was just stupid so i changed the wires so i cud play music without the ignition

if u reverse the wires u will have no memory!!
the settings will be reset everytime u turn the engine on and off...

no i dont think so. as on vauxhalls these wires are backwards.
my first head unit was a panasonic one and it lost its memory all the time until i was told about this.

if u run the h/unit without the ignition on it will flatten your battery however u wire it up ,it needs a power souce 2 work,so the answer is no

The odd thing is that if you buy the ISO adapter for corsas for your new H-unit the yellow and red are swapped around, so does that mean you can just use the original connector??? (The original and the new connectors are also the same shape and size!!)
