Now I've copied the site to the new rack-server, how do you find it?
And another announcement that garage quotas for premium members have been raised to 25Mb
Please note 56kbps users may not really notice as it's your slow connection
Cheers,
Tim

Where's the poll-option of "It's like a snail on Prozac, it's so slow"?
Only kidding, it's faster than it was, and I'm already using half my bandwidth!

22 database queries in 1.3799490 seconds
Is it me, or when on the old server wasn't it something like 0.2xxxxx seconds???

23 database queries in 0.0976909 seconds
You may get a slow response if someone is posting to a thread -- I've seen 6 seconds on the old server before.
Basically if someone is posting (actually has hit 'submit') then the post is locked for reading -- it's just to do with data integrity.
If there's a long queue for the thread then you may get a slow response...

Yes, as Tim says the peaks will still be apparent but even 2 seconds is not a lot when you consider the old one used to take two or three times that on occasion.
Nifty when you consider that it's got to keep the request to read the thread in memory, write the new response and then serve the read request. All in 1.3 seconds
