Dont use FUCKING CAPITALS on every word please, its difficult to read.

I get 300miles out of a tank in my Sport 1.6. Between 250 and 300 miles should be your average.

no, air filter would have no effect on fuel consumption as you still use the same amount of fuel, just more air which results in better performance.

Sounds like a leak to me

yes a leak sounds very likely in the fuel lines. It might even be clogged injectors. An air filter will increase fuelling slightly, otherwise the engine would run lean, more air = need for more fuel.

Should get at least 300 miles per tank. My old 1.4 8V was good for at least 350 miles. My current SXi DTi will do 500 miles or it would if it was not in the bodyshop for 6K of repairs when a Volvo S40 got stuffed into it by a lorry. Pensioners in Volvos should be banned!

damn, just realised that you aren't running with an air filter at all.
You must be mucking fental mate, seriously you better look at getting a recon engine, all the shit that goes in would've fucked your engine right up.
Good luck with that.
Before for some reason I thought you meant you had a performance filter on

To make it easy my car gets around 100 miles from £10, so a full tank gets me around 300-350 miles. It all depends on how you drive it.

Put £10 in the other day, carrying a full car of people all the time and giving it a bit of hammer but nothing mental, got about 70 miles from it. But that was mostly town driving too, low gear and all that.

Yesterday put £10 in, got 130 miles from it, full car still but mostly motorway miles and I was taking it steady because I was absolutly nakered (paintballing does that to you)

It sounds like you really do have a problem.

If you dont have an air filter at all, as in you have removed the panel filter from the box then that could well be the problem, far too much air coming in. Yet shouldnt cause the problem to that extent. Also if you have completly removed the filter then I would advise you to put it back in, a filter is there for a reason without it you just pull shit through.

i usually get 120 miles from £10 without goin into the red

have a look down the rite hnd side of ur car (side with the fuel filler on) and smell around under the car, all the fuel lines go down that side so if u have a leak then itll be there.

when was the last time u had a full major service??
