Kind of hi-jacking this post, but has anyone had their scuttle simply colour-coded, rather that smoothed? If so, how much? Cheers

Commercial smooth scuttles can be an absolute bastard to get a good fit. I filled, smoothed and painted the original one, you can't get a better fit

Yes, all my own work I'm proud to say. I've never done any exterior painting before that and I was well pleased with the results. Its filled with Isopon P38 plastic padding, been in nearly two years now with no probs.

Isopon P38 plastic padding??Cobra, is that stuff like fiberglass or like filler? or between? name dont tell me anything....
just wondering how is that stuff going to work here in cold cold finland, cos in winter like last year it was -30C....

CCM do a smooth scuttle panel if you cant be bothered to do it yourself.

im on with filling mine, i fibre glassed mainly then filler to shape it, got rid of one hole for single wiper but i aint smoothed it like cobra148 its 1 smooth scuttle rather than having the 2 lump shapes. al get some pics up when cars finished and painted
