I have fitted a standard saxo cd player head unit into my g/f corsa. It works fine when the engine is not running and when the engine is running but not in gear.

When you put the car in gear and bring the clutch to the bite the cd player displays PHONE and all the speakers stop working.

The funny thing is it works fine in my corsa?

Any ideas?

the tel mute wire as 3cm said
is a wire that when u get a call it mute the stereo so u can talk on the phone.
it u may have connected it up?
and it doesnt need it.
or the wirng in each corsa is different
say old to newer 3 cylinder ones"cud be interfering with it"
a whole host of ideas
i say check the wiring - compare it to how it was wired in your corsa se if there is any differece at all even in how many wire's go into the plug for the radio.

but im guessing u dont wanna spen any money but if there is no joy gwetting it to work i suggest getting a chep cd player headunit
only bout£50
or get a second hand corsa one?
