Was sitting out side missus work wi engine running for about 10 mins....
Left and drove up the road..

Missus phoned and said huge puddle where car was sitting..
Looked at car and steam coming out fae under bonnet

Opened up and radiator cap was GONE !!!!!!!

Water bubbling away nicely

Don't know where it went..Can't find it,must have been loose..
Went to vaux and baught a new one...

£10.99 Daylight robbery like.....
All ok now though

Poss rad didn't kick in, faulty switch? U may have a loose pipe.

I lost 2 wheel nuts the other day cos i didnt tighten them proper could of been nasty.

How would the cap come off.Surely wouldn't blow off if it was on right..

More than likely I ain't tightened it properly..

Nevice noticed temp going up or that...

this happened to me on ak's corsa the day i got pulled for speedin
was the crappest day ever.
was at crail went to dundee/perth to fnd a cap
ended up using bro's while bro tapes his up

The header tank cap has a release system in it. IT happenend to C13RSA, rad never kicked in and the water temp got to got. Ended up being the coolent coming out of the cap. Almost like a kettle boiling.

But if it was that, u would have seen steam coming from the engine bay.
