When my install is finished im wanting two 10" Type R's and a Alpine MRDM500 to run them, would i be able to run 1 10 off the amp, untill i get the second sub?
The spec for the amp is:
MAX Power: 900W x 1(2Ohm)
• 500W x 1 RMS [2Ohm @14.4V
• 250W x 1 RMS [4Ohm @14.4V
• 400W x 1 RMS [2Ohm @12V
• 200W x 1 RMS [4Ohm @12V
• 8.5V Input Capability
• Buffered PreOut
And the subs alpine swr 1021D at 300W RMS 1000W Peak each.

Yes the amp will run at 4ohms so it will give it the same power as though their were two. No problems mate. Im running two 12" R's and an M500 on EACH! They are bloody good amps, especially for the cash. I hope you are running them in big boxes and or ported with that amount of RMS going thru them.

I havnt got the boxes yet, ive got one sub with no box coz it was ripped up in an accident.
Local ice shop quoted me £150 for a box made to the subs spec, or £50 for one of there own ready made 10" boxes. Cant afford £300 for two boxes so was gunna get two ready made ones.
So when ive got the one sub i want to run the amp at 250w x 1 rms 40hm
then when i get the second sub, run both subs off the amp at 500w x 1 rms 20hm??
