i fancy soime stronger brakes? whats should i do? would changing pad to EBC green stuff do? i want less brake dust cos its pissing me off having to clean alloys so often

EBC Green stuff are good but your better off with EBC Redstuff,their alittle dearer but worth the money,but if you change your pads your best off getting some uprated discs as well

I'm changing to greenstuff 2moz. Post how they feel but do take a while to bed in. As for red stuff, unless your considerin regular trackday use I'd just go for greenstuff. Disc's are a good idae though. Ebc and black diamond both make them for the C.
Other than that get a big brake upgrade. But your talkin the wrong side of 1k.

1k lol, i see mags with ebc greenstuffs pads for around £30, is that single...or pairs? any 1 help...will pads improve braking i hear the greenstuffs are dust free am i right?

Yeah brake pads will increase braking, and yes they wont give off as much dust..... but dont expect a huge diferent in brakeing as the only way your going to get excelent braking is by getting a V6 conversion or shedding out loads of money for a full brake upgrade..... But Yes better brakepads will help.

i put some mintex ones in mine they stop you ok but now i get twice as much brake dust and have to clean my alloys every day .i'm thinking about getting some black diamond discs.

Greenstuff are shite, they are kevlar based (which gives off less dust) but in turn eats the disc's

go for ferodo DS, Pagid Fast Road or Mintex 1144

greenstuff are just a marketing gimmick

Gambit, where can I get "ferodo DS, Pagid Fast Road or Mintex 1144"?? and at what sort of price, also will I notice much difference between them and standard brake pads when trying to stop??

do u have Total Vauxhall mag or something? have a look thru the adverts in there

they will be the same price as the greenstuff pads, maybe cheaper - and yes u will notice a difference

mintex give twice as much dust as chewbaccaman says...so

, problem is cleaning alloys are a pain..

i used the auto glym one, just spray on the wheels a couple of mins before you power wash the car, brake dust just falls off

Btw, that Auto Glym clean wheels product contains certain acids, which cut slightly into the lacquer on your alloys to get the brake dust out, don't use it every time you was your car because it burns away the lacquer after a while.

get a shammy and clean it in warm very clean water every time you have rubbed about a quarter of a panel! then there are no streaks or water marks!!

Right Im washing the car tonight..... using you advice then if its still daylight I will take pics and post so you can see how clean and NON streaky it is
