Cant remember how much uk items are marked up with vat. Its just that I want to import some items to Australia and I need to remove vat to get an accurate price.

zero if ur exporting coz australia isnt in the ec

Yes, I know I don't pay VAT when I import, however all prices advertised i.e. PVD sales prices include VAT already. What I want to know is what percentage vat is calculted at so I can take the VAT charge off.
