At present I have 185/55/15 all round, however I need 2 new front tyres and was going to get 195/50/15. Would it be ok to do this and still have the 185/55/15s on the back?
What tyres do you reccommend for a reasonible price?

doing that is illegal, its a legal requirement that your front tyres arent wider than the rears.

On my old punto I had 165/65/13 on the front and 155/70/13 on the back and it passed an MOT.
Is this a new law or does the guy at the garage need more training.

Thought so. I'll just buy 185/55 for the front and keep everything the same.
Any decent makes I should go for. The ones I've got at the mo' are Continentals.
