et 42, will scrub on a corsa b lowered 40mm

if you wanna attempt it then do this

remove the top two bolts from the plastic arch

drive it, see how , much it scrubs

get a rubber mallet and block and bash the inner arch outwards with the block on the outer side of the arch

again drive it

still scrubs? then look at cambering the rear wheels - extra washer on bottom bolt on the stub axles

alternativily, sell the et42, and get a set of et45 wheels

do u still want it lowering mate?
i can honestly say u will only get scrubbing n this is very slight when u have full car, which lets face it in corsas theyre so small u never do, if u want to be on the extreme safe side which i persoanlly wouldnt bother with is i cud take out the two bolts which if u drove of a curb bout 5 foot high may just catch.........all u will scrub on is plastic when car is fully loaded n that will only be a few shavings at the max

Errr, actually, Gambit knows his noggins.

I've got 16"s, et40, and if i were to have rear seats and people in them they would rub.

I wouldn't go lower than -40mm on standard shox anyway. Drop it 40mm, if it scrubs, do the above that Gambit has already spoken about. TI it continues to rub, u may need to have the arches knocked out (or do it urself if ur happy to).

Daveyboyuk, sit down, take a chil pill.

And yes, 3mm difference can make a LOT of difference! Actually

But then again, i dont know fuck all about corsas either, i mean, 2.0 16v, rear discs, big front brakes, re-timed own interior, buckets etc etc.

Nope, i know bugger all.

I was around before 17"s even WENT on corsas and 16"s were the rage. So get back in the pram from which you crawled out of and give everyone an apology for being such a cocky little scumbo

yep davey, most 17's are 7.5inch, 7inch does allow you to drop the offset that bit extra

Yes, this wouldn't rub as much, but with 4 people in the car, i should imagine it will still rub out over bumps, potholes etc. Which givent eh uks current roads, this would be quite freqently
