Can someone tell me how important and a rough description of a "Diesel Injector Pump" is. (This is Vauxhalls terminology)
This isnt for a corsa but for a V reg 1.9TD engine from a Astra Van.
To cut a long story short - Vauxhall want to charge £2250 to supply and fit a new Diesel Injector Pump.

Delphi or Bosch make the pumps. Buy that in an independent outlet

Yes it would be cheaper to buy and fit a new engine but i was wondering how vauxhall can condone charging this price when i could buy a whole new engine for this price.

At the end of the day - its a works van - its lead a hard life and has done 100k in 2 years (when we bought it) and has already had most of the top and bottom end fixed.
I told the company its time it went.
