Not so much a scam. Its just aimed at the guillible people that want to spend sometimes £10+ on a resistor that costs pennies. All it does is simply advance the timing.

ive got one of these risistors, but cant find where they actually go on the corsa C.... can any one tell me, and do they actually work or should i throw it away now.

Could make you engine 'noc' (or is it knock?) if you use low octane fuel.

Generally bad for the engine.

I thought these went in the CTS wire to increase fueling, and they can work.

no they actually go in the IAT, they trick the engine into thinkin the temperature is cooler that it actually is, hterefore runnin richer in fuel ect
