What is the difference between a normal s/s Scorpion system, and a Group A system? Is it just the bore size? Would it make any difference performance or sound wise if I got a Group A as opposed to normal s/s Scorpion system on my Astra?

Probably more sound and more performance, good if you want it to sound like a nova

Scorpion is generally a noisy exhaust

Get a magnex

No! I don't want my car to sound like a Nova!

So you reckon the normal s/s one should have a more subtle note to it?

Grp A system is 2.5" bore (On N/A cars anyway, dunno bout turbo models).

Most normal bores will probably be between 2" and 2.25".

So I wouldn't really benefit from getting a Group A then, seeing as I only have a C14SE?

Yeah I know. Shame though really.

I might just go for the normal CAT-back system, don't think I can justify spending an extra £50-£100 for a Group A for a 1.4...

That might be because you don't have an 8v Vauxhall engine...

why does everybody rate Magnex?!?, they are no better than any other ss exhaust manufacturer & their range/style of tailpipes is absolute dung, plus their new systems aren't straight thru like they use to be, they now re-circulate the exhaust gases

Good quality, good material, good welds, and renound for a good drone type sound, not none of the peco BRAAAAAAAAAABA BA BA pop ding pants sound.

Being biased, but the sound from both my rear boxes on de-acceleration is really nice.

Stephen, please GTF with your failed mis-quotes. Yes, like I have said in the past, your car may be faster than mine, but I am happy in the knowledge that it won't become rusty and fall apart in a few years time.
