Ive changed hard disk on my system upgraded to a 20GB, ghosted everything accross BUT I cant get it to see it, i think i need to change the Bios cos its not auto picking it up, help??

if the bios aint seeing it, do you have the jumpers on the disks set correctly

Yeah me thinks so, I had it on secondary cos its connect mid-IDE cabel and didn't work, changed the jumper to Master and again - says Operating system not found?!

is it the only bit of hardware on the cable? also check in the bios that you have got it setup to auto detect primary master, secondary master, primary slave, secondary slave

Yeah all thats auto, nah I have cables goes from mother board to HD to LS120 disk... So its connected mid way!

have a look to see if the ls120 is master if its on the same ide cable then the hard drive needs to be set as slave. y dont you put both hard drives on one ide cable, and anything else on another one.

LS120 is on Master and Hard disk is on slave, the auto thing is set but still says 'No operating system found'

well from what you said try running your pc with one IDE cable.

Connect on that cable your new disk, and make sure it is set to Master. dont have the ls120 connected.

boot it up, and see if your disk can be found. if it gives an error tell me what it says.

Just a thought. You have plugged the power in?

Then the ghosting process went wrong, and ur bios is probably seeing the drive. Did you format the drive first?

beeeecos Norton Ghost needs you to select an active formatted partition on the drive first

yes, i'm now thinging that the ghost process went wrong. try a program like seagate diskwizard. even if its not a seagate it will still work. This will do everything for you

Lol! Yes the drive needs to be formatted first before you use norton ghost, otherwise it will chuck everything over without an active MBR so it wont boot

type in format c: doth use the \ at the end
