Just started using the site since my Corsa-owning brother told me about it.

Used to have a '90 Nova SR, then a Clio 1.4 now my Golf mk4 GTTDI. Family have always had Vauxhalls, including 2 mk2 Astra GTE's and a mk3 Astra SRI.

Here are a few pics of my car;

It's a 115bhp GTTDI which has been re-mapped and now gives 151bhp and 236lb/ft torque.

It's running on 18" Audi RS4 replicas and is dropped 30mm on Eibach springs. Done a few other subtle mods also like fitting a Skoda Fabia rear wiper and a Golf V6 front splitter (neither of these are in the pics).

This is my bro's Corsa (KennyT). He hasn't got round to posting pics himself yet, but I'm sure most of you will prefer this to my car!

It's a '00 1.2 SXI lowered 60mm on 16's. I'll bully him into posting more pics later.

Just noticed all my pics have gone down- the site I'm hosting them on has been crashing all week so hopefully they'll be back up soon.

My re-map is DPT which is Diesel Performance Tuning. Only Star performance and Awesome-GTI do it at the moment.

It's done through the serial port (or on board diagnostic port, whatever you want to call it) in much the same way as Revo, so only takes 2 mins to install.

Really pleased since I've had it done. The car revs almost like a petrol now, and is so quick in gear.

It will easily muller seroiusly quick cars like Civic Type-R's unless they are in exactly the right gear.

The beauty of it is that if I'm sitting in 6th on the motorway I'm right at peak torque so I don't need to change down to get a big shove. I doubt I'll go back to a petrol car now unless it's a big 6 cylinder or something else with loads of torque (i.e turbo).

115 is group 10, 130 was in group 10 but some insurnace companies now put it in group 14 with the 150 which is causing loads of arguments.

TBH insurance is one of the main reasons I went for the TDi 'cos I was only 21 when I got it. You'll struggle to get anything else with that sort of performance in insurance group 10!

Here's a scan of my rolling road graph. Sorry it's not very good quality.

The torque curve is the orange one and the pink is the power at flywheel. Blue is power at wheels. The broken lines are the power and torque before the re-map.

The dip in the torque curve is a bit odd but what it does mean is that you get a huge shove in the back at 3k RPM when max power comes in and max torque.

thats a shit graph BTW. I'd seriously look at other tunning. thas a huge dip in torque between 2600-3300rpm. also your peak power is coming in very early as standard. surely you getyour power higher up the rev range than 3500rpm

Errrm.... I'd be extremely worried if I was gettin max power at more than 3600rpm considering the red line is at 4500. Remember it's a diesel.

And what does your car redline at? 6.5k? Peak power in a Punto GT is at 5750 so thats probably at least more than 500rpm from the red line.

Also the dip in torque looks bad, but if you look more closely it doesn't drop any more steeply than the standard torque curve, and then it comes back in again to comliment the power.

And more importantly it feels better than standard to drive.

yes but you still want all the torque you can get. it should not be dipping like that. where is the peak power in the standard car. is it not 4000rpm

Dotted pink line is standard power. I'ts actually lower down the rev range than the chipped peak. From the graph I'd say about 3.5k.
