Was wondering if you can de-cat an SXi (b) coz ive heard the cat on this engine (x12xe) is in the engine bay just after the exhaust manifold??? Can you buy a de-cat pipe or could you make one? Cheers for any help

the cat is integrated in teh manifold as faras im aware
cud u use 1.4 16v manifold or a mixture of 1.4 & 1.2 manifolds

any1 know as i wud also be interested in this

it will i want 1 too my mate ad a 1litre with ind kit de-cat and bbox an it kept up wiv my m8s sxi! i ad a look where it is otha day on mine the bottom of it looks well restrictive!

my 1.0 had a decat and it spat flames was pushing 80bhp too

i doubt it'd make much difference on small motors. actually just finished having a read on the topic n the test car used pushed 272 rear wheel kW before n 278 rear wheel kW after. about a 2% gain at those power levels while making the car illegal at the same time. hardly worth it tbh.

I know it probably wont make much difference, i like the noise that u get from a de-cat (raspy). Never seen a s/s manifold for the 1.2 16v before, thought at least someone would make one. Lexmaul make one for the 1.2 8v but not the 16v . Anyone ever seen one??
J100RSA : What did you do to your 1litre to get it to 80 brake??

J100RSA i also want to know wot u did 2 ur 1.0 to get 80bhp! i have a 1.0 litre and would appreciate sum tips on 'power' as that word isn't yet in my vocab. i saw u caning it up the bypass up to the owlcotes centre th otha day - souded wicked!

wud it be possible to weld the bottom half af a 1.4 manifold to the top half of a 1.2 manifold then?

I did allsorts to my engine it had de cat polished and ported head throtle body was modded air filter and full exhaust. where were u and what day did u see my and i do like that road its good for a blast

my 1 litre is decat'd its a lexmaul one i think, but it was made to fit if you know what i mean!
