Insurance asked me if it was when I phoned up .

Thought it was, but it got me thinking whether just the end pipes are SS, not the whole thing? And if so does that class as SS ?

Nope, from my experience they are alumisised internal's with mild steel outers, with stainless/chrome tailpipes.

You may be able to get stainless versions now, but if your rear box is black then its mildsteel
