Which would win, only reason i ask is coz i was traveling to otley and he was rite behind me. as in

|HIS CAR| - |MY CAR| - - - - - - - - |ANY OTHER CAR|

he wanted to play, so i followed him home and asked him what he had underneath he said 1.4.

just wanted to know who would win, coz next time he is out i might have a play..

ive been on the net and the only powerfull ones i found were

1.4 Sport 16v (100bhp)
1.9 TDi (100bhp)

the normal 1.4 and 1.4 SE had 60 - 75 bhp.

so back to my question..

1.4 Polo (75bhp) or 1.2 Corsa C (75bhp)

my cousin had a 1.4 and his had more pull than my corsa C not much faster but faster that was an 8v. u wudnt have a chance against the 16valver.
what mk is the polo?

the 1.4 has more torque it will be quicker i recon. he also doesnt state which year the car is coz the engines have changed over the years and the fastest polo is the 1.6 16v gti they are rapid

lol.......at college my mate had a 1.6 8v polo, and it was a pile of crap.

he couldnt pull away from a lil 1.4 8v corsa, so i doubt the 1.4 8v cud beat a 1.2 16v. Although dependant on drivers capabilities and the type of course ur racin on, it might be close

p.s corsa 1.2 16 V is probably a bit faster to 60 because it is lighter than the polo

says 12 seconds in the book the diesel is meant to b 12.5 but it aint, its faster

The diesel feels faster cos it has the same torque as the 1.8 sri, but it isn't faster than the 1.2, they're about the same, cos the revs on the diesel only go up to 5k

You think its faster cause its got the turbo, so the force makes it feel quicker. it aint at the end of the day
