Am i reading this correctly? You havent bothered telling them about your mods

If thats the case you may aswell not bother insuring it at all.
If you were to have a bump and the car is inspected by an insurance engineer (as it will be) i think its pretty obvious your car isnt as Vauxhall intended and you wouldnt get a bean for it. Obviously they would pay the third party because thats the law.

The Golf i was just about to sell has been written off cos some arse wipe ran into the back of me. The insurance company have offered me £500 less than what i am sure i could have got selling it privateley.

I told the insurance i wasnt happy with what they offered and my options were accept or get an independant inspection.
Do i want a detailed ispection of a lowered car with none standard brakes, mods not declared on my insurance policy.....errr ill take the 3K thank you.

My point is these were subtle mods that the everyday bod wouldnt have noticed.
Dont think an insurance assessor/engineer would miss the mods on your car

Is it worth the extra few $ on your policy?
