my sisters in the RAF shes been in for 11 years and she hasnt looked back she loves it.

My sister is going in, well going through her tests at the moment. she's going in to be Air Traffic Control.

Got to go to RAF Cranwell next month...

Read somewhere that Air Traffic Controllers have one of the highest stress, depression and suicide rates of any jobs

Mind you thats commercial air traffic controllers, much more planes to deal with i'd imagine.

Yeah I wouldnt think an RAF base would be as busy as Heathrow. Big responsibility though

my sisters been all over the world with the RAF , shes only just got back friom Iraq and has been to faulklands , france italy every where , when she went to iraqi she stayed about 400 miles away from the fighting and was put up in a 5 star hotel with pools gyms and even given a car and got payed shed loads.

I got quite far in training to be an RAF pilot, then they found out i have had Asthma when i was younger and said i could not progress further, but i can train to be ground crew. Heart breaking

She's not in yet, she has her aptitude, eye test, ECG and blood tests at RAF Cranwell next month.
