Hi guys
Here are a few pics of the small boot install i am doing, all it is really is a box that will house my amps, will be covered in the same stuff as the sub box and there will be holes for the amps to come through.
The first bit of wood to cut out: -
markings on the boot cover to see where the sub sits: -
The amps i have on a temporary bit of wood: -

This is how far i got on the last post.
I have now finished , these ae the other stages i went through: -
The supports for the amps
Started to cut out the holes for the amps, using a carboard template i had made.
Both Holes now cut out and lid in place
Underside view
Test fit in boot, only a few mods required.
Inside all wired up and ready for carpeting.
Carpet cut roughly to shape
I then cut it down to the right shape and stapled the fabric to the box.
Finished and in car
Any questions, comments are welcome. (i know its not spectacular!!)

yeah i like that nice and tidy although the sub box is a bit obtrusive looking, i would try to get the 6x9 wiring a bit tidier also but i like it, good job!

Kerzo - Yeah i need to sort the wiring for the 6x9's soon not sure on what to do for that yet? the sub came in the box like that , didnt fancy chopping and changing that but i get what you mean, thanks for the reply.
X3DOS, not the sort of questions i was expecting? but no need to worry, i dont mind explaining for the simple minded folk.

No its not that, actually can you type a bit slower so I can keep up. I just dont understand using your car as a shaker for your cones. Wouldnt you be better building a room with speakers in rather than using a tinshed to rattle them with ?

WTF??
That would defeat the idea of ICE would it not?..... You explain that idea to the industry of in car entertainment and see what they tell you.

i was gonna do stuff like that but i have since had a large change of heart and am now more sensible and not gonna piss money down the drain on somethign relatively silly for me anyway.......i don't like my music up loud and i don't really want to let anyone outside hear what i am listening to, if i wanted that i would get a megaphone attached to the roof rails!

Mines not all that loud really, have front components sony head unit 52x4 watt and amped 6x9's and the sub, i was just lacking bass with the music not doin any more loud enough for me, thanks for the replys guys.
Icy - i used to think that but i thought sod it ill have ago. pleased with what it turned out ike.
mines a simple idea but i stll had a few moment where i wondered what the hell am i doing. Mav 3000 said that its down to planning and i was, i did some sketches and stuff, dimensions etc then got the wood and started cutting!! you should have ago. got a massive bit of wood from b&q for £10 and tha was more than enough. had to do the bottom bit twice as i messed up, still have loads of wood left. trial and error i guess.

Looking good mate!
What you may want to consider, is getting some kind of cooling system set up for the amps, and perhaps covering the holes where the amps protrude out of, with perspex or similar.
That way you can use that part of the boot still!

Looks good that mate always thought that the amps should be on a slant to stop condensation forming on the top though
