They aint brilliant, but they keep the weight down so they fly... how many 1.6's you know can nail 60 in 7.4 ( apart from vtec )

306td is decent... dont expect to make it rapid (like some owners) .... but can surprise some cars

a 306TD would be more worthwhile than a 1400 8v... not worth getting 2 cars if thats wot your thinking... make one of them class

Its a Flair, 1.4i 8v Hi Torq if you've not done your homework

This model also of course famous for the three spoke steering wheel and blue dials and heater/headlight knobs.
