Does anyone take their front bumper off and replace it with the old standard one ??

Im thinking off taking mine of for the winter so it doesn't get all scratched & ruined in the rain, ice, snow, and whatever else we get !!

Ohhh and its much faster with that one on aswell

(Nova GTE) Thats a problem Im gonna have - first winter with alloys on, but with having V6 big brakes can't fit 13"s on!

Alloys are OK in the winter, just clean them all the time !

Bumpers are a different story

both my front and rear bumpers are getting taken off and replaced with my standard ones.

Think i might do the same mate !!
Rear 1 is ok to leave tho i would of thought

I no longer go out in the rain if i vcan help it , as i hate going round corners/roundabouts backwards ,

so rain, sonw, hail and ice are a no go situation, gonna get a cheap runnaround and rebuild the rex over the winter.

My mates SAXO is grounded over Winter, it has 2-3" ground clearance with custom bodykit - its SNOW joke!

Personally i dont bother takin bits off for the winter, and buying a run around usually costs more,
I just make sure i wash the car thouroughly underneath and wheels in particular, to get rid of any salt/grit

Im really thinking about chucking the standard front end on for the winter. Get the bumper/bonnet/scuttle resprayed soon and put the original one on.

im leaving mine on, standard bumper would look silly on mine!! its being rebuilt and resprayed in march n eway!

Bonnet is covered in stonechips, cracking, and im getting some lourves punched in
Scuttle is like the peak district (i.e up and down (Sinking)) so im getting a new one
Front bumper is covered in stonechips. Shows very badly on dark paint.
