was just driving home and my engine management light came on and stayed all the home. The car seems to be running fine and i even checked the oil and water.

What do u think it could be?

(by the way its a 1.6 sport, corsa b)

when this happens to me (usually when i short neons and ciggy lighter)i hear a bang and its just a fuse (u might not hear bang) so go through fuses to see if any have blown, not defo but quite possible ....... :-)

hmmm.....that could be possible cause i have just taken my boot install out and there are wires everywhere.

how do u do that?

i have a 1.6 sport 98'. i thought you could only do it on the older corsas???

read this link and see if u have the pins in the plug if u have u can do it

its just the lambda sensor reading too rich due to the increased air flow

it happens more in the winter as the air is colder & denser therefore you get even more going in

when the light comes on just switch your ignition on & off to clear it

use to happen all the time on mine

Gambit - the light doesn't come on straight away. it takes a couple of mintues before it comes on. once it has come on and i turn my ingnition on and off it goes away but come back on after a few mintues.

a simple solution for the paper clip test

all you need to do is see if the two connects listed in the top buzz article are able to be bridged in your car, if they cant then you can't read it

NO MATTER WHAT GOD DAMN FUKIN YEAR THE CAR IS

aye its just the lambda sensor - dont worry about it - its only there to protect the CAT!

After 99 it dont work.
Mines a 98 sport and it works ok.
Just connect pins 5+6


The 97 to 99 cars give out 4 digit codes instead of the 2 digit ones.

mines on constant at mo kus i am halfway through process of blanking my egr valve its annoyin aint it especially at night i usually adjsut steerin wheel so it hides behind it
