Can't remember costs at Vx but expensive
£55/h and about 3 hr's labour plus the cost of the parts !!!!!
i think with somethin like that id rather pay to get a pro to do it as marv once told me his mate had his done at vx or somewhere and it fecked up 3 wk later and the garage had to sort the engine.
i wouldnt fancy replacing 24valves, 4 cams and 6 pistons

it aint difficult to change, you just gotta know how to find TDC and you need the tools to lock the rollers in place. im gonna do it tomorrow. Am i right in sayin that on a 1.2 8v i just need the belt and the roller/tentioner?

i bought just the belt from vaux......cost about £16 and had a full service at a local garage and the belt change was in with the price

Yeah but a cambelt change should be rollers & tensioners to mate

yea mate u wanna get the whole set ,
belt, rollers, tensioners
i also told them to do the water pump as well..
get the parts from vx, and get a mechanic to do it, not vx.
