MAV 3000,
I have a '96 corsa B combo wit SHOCKING brakes , a few questions:
when you did the swap did you buy a kit or use OEM bits. The 2.5 and 2.6 V6 were avaialble here in australia.
if they are a bolt on job what needs modding ( I see that yours are a 4 stud setup whereas the vectra is a 5 stud)
where does the kit come from - a website will do.
the willwood idea is good as well what is involved here.
wheels are 16" 5 stars.

john ,
thats what I'm thinking . I'm trying to work out a parts list so I can do it locally.
I know that the discs are 5 stud DBA (www.dba.com.au) can drill them as a 4 stud so that part isn't a worry. the calipers I haven't checked yet ( if they bolt on or not.)
I agree with you on mig. parts and info is good.
I'll do a dig on md vaux now.
do you have a website for the local vaux dealers? would like to ask a few questions regarding electrics.

Hi,
All of the questions have been answered but I'll re-iterate anyway
Yes the calipers are just 'bolt on' ones and go on without the need for ANY other bits whatsoever - apart from a little bit of threadlock which goes on the bolts when you put them back in.
the calipers and pads from the kit are genuine GM parts - the same as the Vectra.
the disks are special 4-stud ones. they've not been machines into 4 stud - there brand new.
Glad ppl like the thread. I try and do pics of all my modding to help other people out.
My car is lowered and ive not adjusted the bias valve - not sure if the grage did it for me though.
the brakes are amazing - had to use them today to avoid hitting some lunatic that pulled across in front of me into a garden centr e- me doing 60 on an open road - stopped me so fast I had loads of time to casually drive around him.
got mine from www.v-tuning.co.uk for £200. PVD sell a kit for £275. Braided hoses were £45 from PVD.
Two 236mm new corsa disks from Vaux were £136 so the extra is well worth it - and the look loads better!

Chris R regrding asking local vaux dealers about electrics - if its 'standard' electrics they may be able to help you out, but Id recommend you ask on Mig about things like that as they know their stuff.
Vauchall tend to be a bit 'hit and miss' in my opinion when it comes to knowledge

mav 3000,
thanks for that. I know where a wrecked 2.5 v6 is currently with everything still under it so I nab the calipers and get them rebuilt.
